The long-time favorite Florence County Fair Draft Horse Pull is
changing dates. For years, the Pull has been held on Friday night
of the Fair, and it has often had to compete with High School
football games as well as other horse pulls.
Beginning this year, the Draft Horse Pull will be held at 3 p.m. on
Sunday afternoon. This will allow more competitors to enter the
Pull. In addition to moving the date of the pull, the fair board has done research and work this spring to improve the quality of the arena for the track on which the horses pull.
The goal of all the changes is to create a better show for the competitors and spectators.
Experience the art of the impossible! Magician Jim Lenz will entertain crowds of all ages—from the young to the young at heart. Expect to laugh and be amazed all at the same time. During each show, Jim will look to audience members for help with his magic to make one of the most creative and unusual shows you will ever see.
Jim has three shows scheduled to be on stage each day. During his time “off” stage he will be strolling throughout the fair performing magic tricks. For more information on Magician Jim Lenz, you can visit his website at www.jimlenz.com.
Country Classics is a returning crowd favorite to the Florence County Fair. This year, they will be featured on Friday instead of on Sunday morning. They play classic country music as well as some gospel music.
