Adult Coloring Contest
Florence County Fair Special Exhibit Contests
The Florence County Fair has a tradition of showcasing work by Florence County residents. In 2016, we jumped on the adult coloringbandwagon, and for 2017 we have decided to offer another opportunity for this kind of participation.

There is no age requirement for this contest. It is considered an adult coloring contest due to the fact that the picture is more complex than a standard coloring page, and it is similar to those pictures included in adult coloring books. This year, you can enter pictures from coloring books that you have at home. You can enter one picture in each of the following categories:
Category 1 — Flowers
Category 2 — Mandala
Category 3 — Landscapes/Buildings
Category 4 — Food
Category 5 — Any Other (not listed above)

Pictures will be judged and prizes (including coloring supplies) will be awarded for first place pictures in each category. This contest is open to everyone inside and outside of Florence County. In order to participate, color your pictures, and then choose one of two easy ways to enter the contest: One, you can mail your pictures to the Florence County Fair; P.O. Box 704; Florence, WI 54121 (but our recommendation for mailing is to have them in the mail by August 15, 2017 in order to make sure we receive them on time). OR, you can bring your pictures to the Florence County Fair on Wednesday, August 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. or on Thursday, August 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. Make sure you write your name and phone number on the back of the picture...winners will be announced at the fair and notified by phone after the fair. Winners need not be present to win.
The Florence County Fair serves as a showcase to highlight the many and varied talents of Florence County residents.  One of the ways to do this is by making entries that can be put on display at the Florence County Fair.

All of the Special Exhibit Contests listed on this page are open to Florence County Residents as well as those outside of Florence County.  These are different than traditional exhibits entered in the fair.

Click on the file provided by each of the contests to get a printable version of the contest rules and regulations.

Items created for these contests have no preregistration requirement, and there is no cost to enter any of these contests.  All items must be brought to the Exhibit Building at the Florence County Fair Park on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 between 3 and 7 p.m. or on Thursday, August 24, 2017 between 9 a.m. and noon.  Please note that the timeline for these exhibits to be brought to the fair is different that the traditional exhibits listed under the "Exhibiting 101" page.
